The Matero Ceramic Cleaner is specially developed for the ceramic coating of your Matero pan: a biodegradable, mild, plant-based cleaning soap. Free from SLS, phosphates, parabens and abrasive ingredients: only gentle, effective ingredients that don't damage the performance and finish of your pan. The formula loosens grease and food residue without scrubbing, is safe for daily use and strong enough to keep your cooking surface looking like new.
We developed the Ceramic Cleaner to support the lifespan of your Matero pans: the non-stick performance and smooth finish stay intact, cooking session after cooking session. Many regular dish soaps and scouring pads are too harsh for ceramic coatings and leave micro-scratches that slowly reduce their effectiveness. This formula does exactly the opposite: effortless cleaning, while the coating stays protected.
Whether you're wiping an egg out of the pan or loosening caramelized residue: your pan is spotlessly clean again within seconds, without heavy scrubbing.

What's different about the Ceramic Cleaner compared to regular dish soap?
Three things. First, what's in it: many regular dish soaps contain harsh sulfates like SLS that damage a ceramic coating over time. The Ceramic Cleaner is free of those and works with mild, plant-based cleaning ingredients. Second, how it cleans: the formula loosens grease and cooking residue instead of requiring scrubbing, so your pan gets clean without scratches. And third, what it's made for: regular dish soap is developed for all your dishes, this formula specifically for ceramic non-stick coatings, so the coating stays protected and keeps performing like day one.
How often can I use the Ceramic Cleaner?
Every day, after every cooking session. The formula is non-abrasive and free from harsh degreasers, so daily use is actually good: cleaning your pan gently after every use prevents oil residue from building up and burning in.
Does it also work on burnt-on or baked-on residue?
Yes. Let the pan soak for a few minutes in warm water with a few drops of Ceramic Cleaner, then wipe the surface with a soft sponge. Don't scrub with an abrasive pad — that's never necessary and damages the coating.
Is the Ceramic Cleaner only for Matero pans?
No, you can use it for all your ceramic-coated cookware: frying pans, roasting trays and grill plates. It was, however, developed with the Matero coating as its starting point, so you can be sure it's a perfect match.
What exactly does "biodegradable" mean?
It means the cleaning ingredients are broken down by microorganisms in the environment after use, rather than building up in the water. So you rinse the soap away without leaving persistent substances behind in the wastewater. The formula is also free of phosphates, one of the substances that causes the most damage to surface water.
