Our story
About Matero
Matero is a Dutch brand founded by two friends, Jarne and Michel. When they learned about the dangers of traditional non-stick coatings, they saw an opportunity to make a difference. Their goal? To banish PFAS from kitchens worldwide!
In 2022, Matero introduced its first cookware with a PFAS-free ceramic non-stick coating. Since then, Matero has been continuously innovating and improving to bring high-quality cookware to the market, all with PFAS-free non-stick coatings. This way, we help you create a completely PFAS-free kitchen environment.
Who are we?
We are Michel and Jarne, two young Dutch tradesmen. In recent years, we have spent many hours in the kitchen and often noticed that the cooking tools did not meet our needs. Durable, cook-worthy cooking tools for a fair price proved hard to find. Together, we decided to design the perfect pan.
PFAS-free since day one
From the very first design, one thing was paramount: no harmful PFAS substances in our pans. We believe that healthy cooking starts with safe cookware, without compromise. While many brands have only recently switched to PFAS-free coatings, we consciously chose this from day one. Our pans are made with materials that protect both you and the environment – without sacrificing performance or durability.

Looking up recipes and then preparing them as well as possible is something we both greatly enjoy. To make the finest recipes, you need the right cooking tools, in our opinion. That is why Matero Cookware was created.

Made with craftsmanship
Our products have been designed by ourselves. After testing many products, we created our own prototype. Every detail has been considered, with the aim of making our cookware unique and bringing only the very best to the market.
